Today has been an amazing day. I'm mostly amazed at the outpouring of God's love that is coming my way. I know it's totally God's love, because I don't deserve all that I'm receiving. Truly. I have received chemo caps crocheted by the hands of a young mother with 3 small children (who has much better things to do and must be doing it in her sleep), I've received wigs from delightful friends who anticipate how much more fun I will have as a blond (woo hoo), I've received a precious angel figurine who accompanied two very dear friends through their own medical crises (I'm going to take a picture of my little angel friend with me at chemo and other places just as if she were Flat Stanley). And a devotion book and a LIFE IS GOOD hat from a dear friend who is unbelievably caring. Then I received wonderful hand lotions and bath salts from a friend who was where I am just about a year ago. And then there is the food calendar set up by my friend whose husband broke his back just a week ago. And the flowers sent by my dear friends across the street. And more hugs than some people receive in a lifetime. I cried several times today - not because I have cancer - but because I have God's people just loving me. It's overwhelming and wonderful. You inspire me and encourage me and give me strength.
I love you. God is good. And you guys make Him and me smile.

I can not take all the credit for the chemo caps. My best friend is also making a few for you too. She also has 3 small children and homeschools. I am so glad you are in high spirits!! You go girl!!!
You just made my day, sis, knowing that you're being showered with blessings. God blesses us all with so many wonderful people. The care you are receiving is a reflection of God's love that you share thru your personal relationships and your ministry. Life is good! And God is good...all the time!
Who is Flat Stanley?
Dear Rene' (aka B&B)
Yes you will be bald but beautiful; beautiful physically and spiritually and emotionally. I have been thinking and praying for you every day. Now that the trip to Ohio is over and we are home, I want to keep closer in touch. We have notified Danielle via her email that of course we intend to contribute to her walk! We love you.
Thank you my new and cherished friend! I'm so glad you guys are back. We ALL missed you!
Who is Flat Stanley? Flat Stanley is a special friend that you send all over to visit exciting places and you take his picture in all of those places to show your friends the exciting places Flat Stanley can go! He normall gets mailed around to friends to have his picture taken -since he's flat and all. But my angel will have to go with me personally. :)
Very pretty site! Keep working. thnx!

Hi B&B, I'm praying for you and thinking of you. Just finished reading all of the insert of your blog. I felt that God was with while I was reading. Your an inspiration to everyone. We love you!
Your diagnosis and the amazing way you are handling it all just floods my mind with so many thoughts and images. Everything from still not believing you have cancer to knowing that God's face is closer to you that ever before make it hard to focus on any one thing.
This I know, you're going to be here for a long, long time and my life will be enriched immeasureably because of that.
I am praying all day for you today as you go through your first session of chemo. Take a moment to feel all our prayers, and feel God's hand upon you. He loves you beyond what we can ever comprehend.
Sending up extra prayers for you today. Know that you have an army of people praying for strength for you.
Love you!!!
Good morning, Rene! You are so loved. Praying for you. May the healing power of the Lord God fill you up today! Mt9:35
I'm anxiously awaiting your posting on the 23rd, when you'll have that other 'B' to go with B&B. Thank you for continuing to share you adventure with us.
Hope the nausea is better today. Am thinking of you and offering up many prayers. We love you.
